I got excited tonight because I thought I'd do a heat treatment on my place to roast these bastards. Turns out, after doing research, this is too dangerous, and I don't want to be liable for burning the place down. On top of that, it is not really effective. This guy who did it still had bugs. (http://bedbugger.com/forum/topic/diy-heat-treatment-1).
In other news, I am now finding Ruby's welt marks on my back, about 18 hours after he bit. Started itching in class, and when I got home, took off my shirt and saw two big welts on my back. That's so Ruby.
New Battle Strategy: Roast my car. Will buy a space heater and thermometer this weekend, roast the car, and at least I will be able to sleep peacefully in the backseat. Also need to talk to the landlord and ask if he has another empty unit I could move into. If he does, I will use the car as a roasting chamber to roast everything I own before putting it in the new unit.
It would be hell staying in this place, not being sure if they are gone or not. Even if I go a week, two weeks, a month without getting bit, the fear will still be there, the uncertainty that they are not really gone.
Money Spent: -$96 (new couch plus delivery)
-$4 (masking tape and Vaseline)
-$10 (laundry)
